I use it without wifi just because I like using two numbers for a couple of different reasons. If you have a really old phone then yes, it is slower and glitchy but I have the iPhone 6, definitely not newer and I have no issues with it. But it is easy to use, with very little glitching. I didn’t try to call so don’t know if that was working or not.
